Summer Learning Journey Day 1 Activity 1.

3 Interesting facts about Maui.

*Maui had magical powers and was better than all of his foster brothers.

*Maui used a jawbone that his ancestor gave him to pull up the north Island.

*Maui was also a trickster.

Another Legend about Maui is Maui and the Sun this story is about Maui and his brother making the sun go slower with his ancestor jawbone and strong rope. So that during people can have longer days and more fun.

Hi again Jolie!

It's great to have you back blogging with us for the Summer Learning Journey. I loved reading your thoughtful and original blog posts on the Winter Learning Journey, so I look forward to reading more this summer :)

I agree, Maui was a bit of a trickster and a creative thinker!

Do you know of any other Māori legends?

Nicky :)

Hey Jolie
When reading your blog post it was really interesting and so were the facts. I didn't know that Maui had magical powers. When you were doing this activity did you find it easy or hard? Can't wait for more post.. Keep up the great work

Thanks for your comment, my favourite part about this activity was giving three facts about Maui, the reason why is because I am hoping to help people who don't know much about Maui by giving them some facts. Have a amazing holiday :)
