Prototec T4W3

I have decelerated because on the last test I got 98% and now I have 84%, Although I have improved throughout the year. When I first started doing stage six would get 25 or 32%. By the end of the year I would like to get to stage 8 because I want to make my parents proud.  

Social media.

Social media is the best because there are so many things that I can do. I can do things like listen to music on spotify. Another one is messaging my friends, also if I see a post that I like, sad or nice then I can like that post. Another thing is watching videos that are cool and the last one is sharing stuff with my friends. I can play with the filters that snapchat has. There is also instagram that I can play on when I get bored.

Henna for art.

On Tuesday the girls from room 8 and 7 did Henna for art. We were in groups and we got other people to do our henna. It smelt like dried Apricot and looked like worm poo. In the end we came up with really good designs.

Chemical changes - Pancakes

Today in the first block instead of doing math we made pancakes, we made pancakes because our topic study is about Chemical changes.  A chemical change is a substance being formed and something that cannot be reversed. Our classed used a scientific method to make these pancakes . We put the batter into the frying pan and we added heat so that we could have some pancakes to eat.

My teacher knew when it was ready when the gas from the pancakes rose up to the top and left holes in the pancakes. There was also a colour change, first the batter was Pale and then when it was cooked it they were Brown. There was also a temperature change, the temperature was cold and then it went hot when the pancake came out of the frying pan.

The best pet to have - Cat

I think Cats are the best pet to have. there are many cats that you can

choose from. They can be kind towards people and they

can also be your best friend. I also know that they are helpful. There

fur is fluffy and soft when you touch it, Cats are also lazy and quiet.

There also gentle and caring.Cats  can be funny and make you laugh. So I believe that cats are best pet that you could ever own.

Comparing Diwali to Matariki.

Rangoli patterns

Today My class and I created Rangoli patterns. We created Rangoli patterns because the Hindu celebration - Diwali started yesterday. We used chalk but traditionally you're supposed to use broken rice.I worked with Ashley and we made a very pretty Rangoli pattern

Diwali starts on the 18 of October  and then it ends on the 23 of October.. Rangoli patterns are made in front of their house but in this case we did this in front of our class. Rangoli patterns also welcome people . Diwali is called the festival of lights it also last 5 days.

I spelt Diwali wrong I spelt it as Dawali.

Vocab: Time

In class we were asked to write words that were associated with time. My group and I came up with words and gave them to the teacher, there were also other kids involved, they came up with great ideas.
