Fun Day at the Millennium centre.

Yesterday classes 6,7 & 8 went to the Aut millennium centre. As you can see in the photos we were learning life survival skills and kayaking. Capella,Janet and I, learnt how to survive when ever an accident happend in the middle of the ocean. We had a wonderful lunch all thanks to the company nestle . I want to thank Julie and Chelsea for teaching us how to kayak and save our lives in the water.

My opinion on this article.

I think this is a great opportunity because I believe that people are on the internet to much. And they will become more aware of what's going on around them. If people don’t take this job then that just proves that they care more about their phone than people. Phones should only be used for an emergency. Why are phones needed while working I mean all thier gonna do is play on facebook,snapchat,instagram,twitter and netflix.

Walht: Use your creative skills to write a narrative.

I was sitting on my bed in New York. I looked at the daily news on my I-pad and I saw my face. I knew that my little sister,Catherine had got my hands tied up again, I sighed and asked myself ‘‘What has she done this time?’’

My little sister has hair black as the night sky, wears a blood red hair bow with white polka dots.Her eyes are fierce black  and a she always paints her face purple as purple icing.

The police think that I disguised myself, walked into a shop with a gun and stole jewelry, dresses  and shoes. I walked to Catherine's home, Bow! I kicked open her door, but she was nowhere to be found.Then it hit me! I should have looked up her number plate and tracked her down. So then I made a plan until I realized she was on the run for a crime. So then plan number 1 failed. I then tried, left the house in a disguise, asking strangers for help, when I did they just said ‘‘AHH It's that criminal  RUN’’. And then, plan number 2 failed. My best friend Tracey showed up at my place with her new yellow dress,shoes white as snow and her hair all done up in fancy curls. I told her everything.

Later, she drove to the police station with a recorder in her front pocket, and s,aid ‘‘Hi. Can I please look through your CCTV history?’’.

‘‘Why may I ask?’’ replies the policeman.

Tracey said  ‘‘I might know where the criminal from Tuesday night might be.’’

The policeman then shouts ‘‘ Well that’s fantastic come with me!.’’

Tracey followed the policeman into the room which held every camera's history. She looked up Catherine's number plate and then she found out that she was in California,Oakland living in  a California hotel, room number  32. I came in telling the cops that Tracey and I know where Catherine was. They let me speak and tell them where she is, I explained every detail. They tracked her down and arrested her. Everyone is now back doing their thing in a happy, safe neighbourhood.

Farewell Mrs Manu.

Today Mrs Manu is retiring from teaching. Room 8 made farewell cards so that she could remember us. A couple of friends and I were crying because we had some good memories with her. I will miss her alot because she is my favourite teacher hands down. I want to thank her for teaching me when I was in room 7 and helping me up when I was down. But hey at least she can finally relax.

Glen Innes School is going to miss you.

Easter art lesson.

Today room 8 made a easter themed cupcake. We were all vrs each so that we could get the prize which was a easter chocolate bunny. I wasn't that excited because there 3$ at the warehouse. But I did well with my pink and yellow background. Mrs Tuakoi was chosen to pick four winners out of 16 children. Here are some pictures of us creating them.

Room 8 made a brochure. My message to the community is to not litter into the creek.
I think that we need a clean creek because then it will have more wildlife like.

Rain in Taranaki.

In Taranaki heavy rain has come their way. Some days ago Taranaki school was evacuated as remnants of Cyclone Debbie make landfall . Room 8 hopes that they stay safe.
