What is your favourite television show at the moment? On your blog tell us about your favourite television show. What is it about? Who are the main characters? What channel is it on?

My favourite television show is Regular show.

This show is about how Mordecai, a blue jay, and Rigby who is a raccoon, are groundskeepers at a park, Mordecai and Rigby are best friends and they are very lazy but they do not let their job interfere with their ability to enjoy life . While Mordecai tries to be responsible and do a good job, he's pal who dosent have any fear or shame wants to do everything in the world. The friends often end up having to pay for their irresponsible actions as they usually get into more trouble than they anticipated. Sometimes the show will have Mordecai and Rigby go to different dimensions aswell.

The main characters are Mordecai, a blue jay and Rigby, a raccoon.

This show is on T.V 2.

Summer Learning Journey week 3 Bonus Activity

For this activity, imagine that you are living in New Zealand in the 1950s. Use Google Draw* to design the front of a postcard that you could send to a friend. Try to include elements of Kiwiana in your design (e.g. Pohutukawa trees, Hokey Pokey ice cream, etc). Post a copy of your postcard picture to your blog. Be sure to describe what you have drawn on your blog beneath the picture

This is the front of my postcard. Instead of Merry Christmas I have put Meri Kirihimete because Maori is a New Zealand Heritage and culture, also at the top you can see some christmas lights that I have put there. Just below them are two lamingtons I have put them there because I believe that they are a kiwi thing. I have also included two ferns because I personally know them as a kiwi thing. I have included a christmas tree and little presents underneath.

Summer Learning Journey week 3 day 1 activity 2

At my school Mya is the most popular girl name we have 3 girls with this name. For the boys it is Sione there are at least 5 kids with this name. Next up we have Jazire for the girls there are 2 kids with this name. I know 2 and 3 may not be that big but we have a very small school so yeah. Next up for the boys we have William there are 2 kids with this name. For the third name of the girls we have Angel there are also 2 kids with this name. Last but not least for the boys John is a popular name with 2 kids with this name.

On your blog tell us if you think that the ‘meat and three veg’ rule is a good one. Do you like the rule? Would you enjoy eating a typical 1950s dinner? Why or why not?

I do like the 'meat and three veg' rule, for some reason I would actually enjoy a typical 1950's dinner. The reason why is because it's just sounds like a normal dinner that your parents makes for you everyday.

Compare the pictures of common clothing from the late 1940s to what you wear now (i.e. in 2017). Are they similar or are they quite different?

On your blog tell us which of the two styles you prefer and why. The pictures above were taken over 65 years ago! What do you think people will be wearing 65 years from now?
